The first project – “WOW, I’m Home!” Affordable Home Development (Funding Goal: $10M)

PHRU “WOW, I’m Home!” Affordable Home Development is set to provide housing for seniors, veterans, and low to moderate income families/individuals.  This is a revolutionary project that makes homes affordable in the state of California for those who once thought homeownership was impossible.  The project takes 50 acres of land in LA county and builds 23 homes ranging in size from 4 bedroom/ 3.5 bathroom to 3 bedroom/2 bathroom.  The key to this program is building efficient yet reliable homes at affordable prices thus passing this affordability to the homeowner.  The homes have an average cost around $500,000 in which PHRU housing programs subsidizes these homes to make them affordable to the LMI public. The third project – “WOW, I’m Home!” Counseling (Funding Goal: $3M)

PHRU “WOW, I’m Home!” Counseling program has been elevated to a project for 2025.  This project focuses on increasing the number of families/individuals qualifying for homeownership and broadening the reach of the counseling program beyond the Los Angeles County area.  The “WOW, I’m Home!” Counseling project pairs families/individuals with financial counselors to assist them with qualifying for a home.  This includes directing the families/individuals to credit counseling classes, training classes for home assistance and maintenance, and financial training to manage their personal finances towards homeownership.
